History of Ferrari

The company, created by Enzo Ferrari, was founded back in 1947. It all started with the dream of a little boy who desperately wanted to become a racing driver. One day, little Enzo (and future owner of a major brand) went to a competition with his father and fell in love with this sport forever. At the age of 12, he got behind the wheel for the first time and decided to devote his whole life to being a racer, like his idols, but the First World War intervened in his plans. Enzo had to give up his plans and work at the factory in order to simply survive.

Only in 1918 did he manage to get into the Costruzioni Meccaniche Nazionali. At that time it was a large automobile company. A year later, Ferrari made his debut in the Parma-Berceto race. Two years later, our hero moved to the young Alfa-Romeo team. Ferrari immediately realized that the cars that Alfa-Romeo produced were much improved compared to those in which he competed in the Costruzioni Meccaniche Nazionali.

In the 20s, a serious crisis occurred in America, due to which Alfa-Romeo were forced to abandon participation in auto racing. Entrepreneurial Enzo, who has excellent knowledge of cars, decides to found his own company. This is how Scuderia Ferrari was born in 1939.

The company introduced its first car in 1946. It was the Ferrari 125. The model corresponded to the main principles of the brand - maximum speed and comfort. At the same time, the company appeared with a logo - a galloping stallion on a yellow background. The car sold just fine. Firstly, the company has provided motorists with reliable quality. Secondly, people already knew about the brand from racing.

By the 50s, models appeared that were distinguished by a large engine capacity, as well as a beautiful and comfortable interior.

In 1951, the exclusive 340 America model was released, the engine of which held 4.1 liters. Two years later, this model was improved and received a different name - 375 America.

In total, by the beginning of 1954, Enzo Ferrari had produced about 200 of his cars in an exclusive road version and 250 racing models. When creating his road cars, Ferrari turned to different design companies, making their models different from each other.

In subsequent years, the company continued to produce high-quality cars, which were extremely popular among car connoisseurs. For example, Ferrari 250 GT California, 410 Super America and many others.

In 1968, Ferrari released the legendary Daytona, or 365 GTB/4, with a front-mounted 4.4-liter V-12 engine producing 352 horsepower. with., developing super speed - 282 km/h. Thus, the company began to produce sports cars that amazed everyone with their power.

At the same time, the company is gaining popularity among drivers participating in Formula 1. In the 50s, the famous driver Alberto Ascari brought the Scuderia Ferrari team two championship titles in Formula 1 racing. Thanks to the fact that Ferraris have a full-fledged race track, the city of Maranello becomes the capital for motorsport fans. No team has ever done this. At the same time, the Ferrari brand became one of the famous brands and a real advantage of Italy.

The company constantly became a favorite of the season. Among the competitors were McLaren, Williams, and Benetton. But the first places were always occupied by Ferrari.

Today Ferrari is one of the most prestigious and famous companies in the world. It is she who owns the most powerful car - a special Ferrari Enzo model. It was named after the founder of the concern, Enzo Ferrari. The maximum speed of the car reaches 350 km/h, and the car can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
