History of Citroen

Car brands can be iconic and historical, but this is not the case with Citroën, which combines both. All this is because the company has always been faithful to its traditions and was ahead of its time in its development. Only cars of this brand were chosen by the head of state and Fantômas, and it was the Citroën car that saved his life during the assassination attempt on General de Gaulle. In the company's homeland, France, Citroën cars are called “sent from above” and are rightfully proud of them.

Cars with a “double chevron” on the emblem are remembered throughout the world not only for their extravagant design, but also for their technologies, which largely determined the direction of development of the automotive industry

Citroen has been producing cars for over 100 years

Few people know that the first car left the gates of Andre Citroen's Parisian factory back in 1919. Then the Citroen Type A made a splash not only with its attractive prices: it was equipped with an electric engine starter and electric headlights, without which no car is now unthinkable. The Citroen Type A also had a new suspension system with inverted elliptical springs, which significantly improved the ride quality.

The Type A established the Citroen brand values - since then, all cars with a double chevron on the emblem (in fact, this image came from gears with teeth in the form of an inverted letter V) have been distinguished by outstanding comfort, safety and innovative technology. After the release of Type A, Andre Citroen thought that car travel should reach a new level of comfort and be enjoyable for both driver and passengers. The 1922 Type C model had soft seats, and the car itself was quite easy to drive, so women were increasingly seen behind the wheel.

The modern Citroen C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross models are created within the framework of the Citroen Advanced Comfort concept: they are among the most comfortable in the crossover segment. The front seats are designed in such a way as to provide the most comfortable fit and at the same time support the driver in turns. And the C5 Aircross additionally boasts three separate rear seats, which have adjustments independent of each other.
