History of Chatenet

The French automaker Chatenet, specializing in the production of small-scale minicars, very popular in its "historical homeland" due to the fact that due to their low power, a driver's license is not required to drive them, has put on sale another subcompact, the cost of which causes slight consternation among motorists of the Old World, as well as its technical capabilities.

Literally everything, from the appearance, which is a kind of fusion of the design of the MINI and Alfa Romeo MiTo and ending with the technical characteristics of the CH26 model, published on the official website of the automaker, is puzzling.

The overall length of the car is 3065 mm (370 mm more than that of the Smart Fortwo model), width – 1567 mm, and height – 1453 mm. The 349-kilogram two-seater microcar is equipped with a two-cylinder 523 cc engine, which has a capacity of (!) 5.4 hp, writes RSTcars. According to Chatenet, the maximum speed of the car is 45 km/h. On average, the car consumes 3.15 liters of fuel per 100 km of travel.

The price of the car is not specified on the official website. Note that in the global network, the minimum price for this model is €13,600. In addition to the above, the company produces similar Barooder and Speedino models in terms of technical parameters.
